All the warmth and durability of Filson heavyweight sweaters, in a new lighter weight. Until now, Filson sweaters have been heavyweights for field, forest and worksite. These new sweaters for 2003 are lighter weight for the other pursuits in your life: traveling to and from hunting or fishing; shooting skeet, trap, or sporting clays; doing yard work, casual get-togethers. The yarn and construction are identical to the heavyweight sweaters, with long worsted wool fibers and a tight twist for smooth, non-scratchy comfort. The only difference is poundage: half as much wool is used.
The Outdoorsman Sweater is a comfortable henley style that can be opened for ventilation, or buttoned for warmth. Suede shoulder patches help prevent wear and slippage from shotgun, daypack, bag or briefcase straps. Naturally water repellent, wool will absorb as much as 30% of its own weight in moisture without becoming damp or clammy. Wool is the fabric of choice for experienced outdoorsmen world wide. The specially milled, tightly knit worsted wool gives Filson sweaters a firm finish that wears extremely well and is pleasing to the touch. Made in USA, dry clean.
