Strong, wearable, handtooled, and crafted in a 160+ year old tradition, Western boots from Rios of Mercedes are known for their understated natural tones and artistic inlays. In their Mercedes, Texas, shop, Rios of Mercedes craftspeople and artists are not just making you an exquisite pair of boots–they’re inviting you to join a legacy in the making since 1853. The company began by crafting cavalry boots; however, shortly after the turn of the century, the Rios family set up shop in the Rio Grande Valley and expanded their business. Since Joe and Trainor Evans took over in 1975, the company has expanded to include several sister brands, including Anderson Bean and Olathe Boots. And, just like they did in 1853, Rios of Mercedes continues to take pride in crafting their boots entirely by hand.
